LANCE CORPORAL LEVI WEBB

This is Lance Corporal Levi Webb of the Royal Dragoon Guards. One his first tour of Afghanistan he single handedly pinned down a group of Taliban fighters that had just blown up the lead vehicle in his patrol group and seriously injured the soldiers inside. His actions allowed the wounded soldiers to be evacuated to safety. He was presented with an award for gallantry on returning to this regiment in South Yorkshire.

Went for a walk along the banks of the River Severn and through Severn Beach - there is nothing much there except the river and an amazing disused amusement park.

RIZZLE KICKS - nice blokes and great to shoot - shot in their record labels offices in North London. Listening to their album Stereo Typical quite a lot at the moment - fun album with some interesting samples.

SNIPER IN HELMAND

It was really interesting to meet and photograph James Cartwright, a sniper in the British Army who had served in Helmand province, Afghanistan. My images ran as along side a very compelling interview in which he described the difficult conditions he worked in and the decisions he had to make whilst out in Afghanistan. James has written a book, Sniper In Helmand.

Got caught in a torrential downpour on the way to the station tonight. Stopped under the railway arches of London Bridge station to capture the torrent of rain water flowing down the street. The break lights of the cars lit the water a bright red///////

the devil's double

The life of Latif Yahia has been turned into a film - The Devil's Double. I shot him a few weeks ago in the eve of the films premier in Leicester Square. His story is unbelievable and I have heard the film is pretty good. His story is truly unbelievable.
