Went to Nettlebed - a village in Oxford - this morning to the biggest jumble sale I have ever seen in the grounds of Ian Fleming's (Bond author) old family home. Didn't find any bargains.

Spent the afternoon at Clevedon - first ice cream of the summer sat on the beach.

There is a swimming club based on the beach and people swim in the Bristol Channel every day of the year. Rather them than me!

Tyntesfield

Day out at Tyntesfield today - amazing gothic building and chapel just outside Bristol. Mooch around the house and lunch in the grounds, very pleasant.

EASTER BOULES

A game of Easter Day - winner stays on Boules at Mum and Dad's followed by cricket in the driveway. I couldn't even imagine how many hours of games and sport that have been played in the back garden of No11 and how many tennis balls have been lost in neighbours gardens....too many I'm sure.

Tim Hetherington

I don't normally post just words here but I have just watched the news and heard of the death of Tim Hetherington, a British photographer covering the events in Libya. He also co-produced Restrepo which I have a copy of but have only manage to watch half. What I have seen is brilliantly shot - you can tell he used his eye as a photographer to shoot the moving images. I will watch it all over Easter.

I admire photographers that travel thousands of miles from their home to document world events and put themselves in harms way to create images - I am a massive fan of Jason P. Howe and his work covering British forces in Afghanistan .

I am going to look at more of Hetherington's work.
